Habitats : Open grassland and meadows, especially on hillsides and coastal cliffs

Flight Period : Single-brooded, June to July

Larval foodplants : Sheep's-fescue (Festuca ovina), Red Fescue (Festuca rubra) or Fine-leaved Sheep's-fescue (Festuca filiformis), mining the leaves

Records : Thorpeness (G C Pelham-Clinton & R M Mere, 10-13.vii.1965)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Rather common throughout England. Aldeburgh in 1892 (Ctw); Leiston (Grey).
