Distribution and abundance : Rare

Habitats : Rough grassland, open downland, woodland rides, clearings and marshes

Flight Period : Single-brooded, July

Larval foodplants : Common Bird's-foot Trefoil (Lotus corniculatus) or Great Bird's-foot Trefoil (Lotus uliginosus)

Records : Thorpeness (G C Pelham-Clinton & R M Mere, 10-13.vii.1965), Elveden (Lancashire Moth Group, 18-21.vii.2002; P Sterling, 15.vii.2004), Landguard (N Odin, 3.vii.2005)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Abundant everywhere on Lotus corniculatus, sure to be numerous in Suffolk though recorded only from Brandon by Barrett. I have looked for it without avail (Whit).
