Habitats : Blackthorn scrub, especially near the sea

Flight Period : SIngle-brooded, late June to July

Larval foodplants : various Rosaceous trees, especially Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), Wild Cherry (Prunus avium), hawthorn (Crataegus), apple (Malus), pear (Pyrus communis), Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia) and lime (Tilia)
