Habitats : Oak woodland, preferring margins of rides and isolated oak trees

Flight Period : Single-brooded; July to August

Larval foodplants : Deciduous oak (Quercus) and possibly also Sweet Chestnut (Castanea sativa)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Copdock (Hkg); Ipswich in 1904 (Mly) and bred freely from larvae on Bentley Woods oaks in 1934 (Trans. ii, p. clxxvi); Brandon (Barrett).
