Habitats : Fens, scrub and other places where the foodplant occurs

Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to August

Larval foodplants : sallow or willow (Salix)

Morley's Final Catalogue : A common kind on sallow. Bentley Woods in June 1904; Aldeburgh in 1892 (Ctw); common in Southwold salt-marshes in July 1908 and at light beside Fritton Lake in August 1934, Blythburgh Wood (Mly).
