Distribution and abundance : Local

Habitats : Wet woodland, fens, hedgerows

Flight Period : Probably single-brooded; July to August

Larval foodplants : Alder (Alnus glutinosa)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Another local alder-feeder, in the under-side of leaves. Taken at only Brandon (Wrn), till 1932-3 when the Bishop bred it plentifully at Belstead, Sproughton and Bromeswell.
