Larval foodplants : Hawthorn (Crataegus), apple (Malus), Whitebeam (Sorbus aria) and Rowan (Sorbus aucuparia), Pear (Pyrus communis), Blackthorn (Prunus spinosa), Quince (Cydonia oblonga) and Cotoneaster

Morley's Final Catalogue : Larvae common in hawthorn leaves. Bred at Bentley in 1933-5 (Whit.); Felixstow in July (Gibbs); Aldeburgh (Ctw); Easton (Hkr); Lowestoft (Bd). Several in Parkham Wood 1934 (Mly).
