Distribution and abundance : Formerly localised in the east of the county, although probably over-looked

Flight Period : Single-brooded; July to August

Larval foodplants : Rye-grass (Lolium), Couch (Agropyron), Brome (Bromus), Meadow-grass (Poa), Wheat (Triticum aestivum), Meadow-fescue (Festuca pratensis) and Cat's-tail (Phleum)

Morley's Final Catalogue : 'Barham, W. Kirby:' Steph. Illust. (c. 1834 - sec. Bloomfield); Tuddenham near Ipswich, Bealings Magna sitting on willow, Darsham and several at Farnham, all in July 1897-1921 (Mly); Southwold in 1897 and Flixton in 1890 (Ctw). Westleton Heath.
