Distribution and abundance : Rare

Flight Period : Single-brooded; June to July

Larval foodplants : scabious (Knautia, Scabiosa and Succisa)

Morley's Final Catalogue : Both (referring to N. cupriacella and N. metallica) ocurred in small numbers upon the above (Angelica sylvestris) flowers, growing among Scabious, in Fritton marsh during August 1936 (Doughty, Morley). The former from our Breck sands (Ent. 1886, 79).
