Still raining heavily at 5.30am when I switched the light off, but I was a bit surprised by the number of moths caught. I really did think there would be virtually nothing in the trap but I recorded 44sp in total, but nothing really unexpected or exciting for the site. Maybe this shows the moths are still out there trying to fly around despite the weather. As a lot of the catch was worn by the rain they won’t be on the wing for long I guess.

Still hoping that summer is going to start soon!

How did anybody else get on if you tried?
