Hello Mark - Congrats on the Minor. The last few nights have been the best of the year so far. last night was a bit on the breezy side but I still managed to pick up a Beautiful Hooktip ( I think only the 6th site record) and my first Buff Footman for the year. Am still trying to sort out a few micro's from the recent nights too. Much head-scratching at present!

Hi Paul. I haven't posted anything recently for the same reason. I only got up to a 100 macros for the year on 28 June. Recent flooding in the Waveney Valley hasn't helped with many larvae drowned I fear. The only recent highlights have been a Tawny Shears on 1st July and a Rufous Minor last night. This I confirmed by dissection - my first go at this and a lot easier than I thought it would be!

Hello Raymond. A really kind offer which I'd like to take you up on. I took another Nepticulid last night which I think might be Stigmella betulicola. From my upstairs window I can see at least two mature and three young birch trees so seems a good prospect. Also NFY last night were Orange Moth and Foxglove Pug.
