Hi Matthew,

I never expected to read the words 'Bawdsey' and 'hit and miss' in the same sentence! At least when it comes to moths anyway.

Tony and I had another look two days later. It was cooler and much less productive. There was very little flight activity and it made me wonder if moths were just crawling out from shelter within the ivy to feed rather than travelling from afar.

Sounds like good fun Mark! I have found it very hit-and-miss at Bawdsey though. I also enjoy checking brambles at night which can also be productive.
