I saw thru’ binoculars around 10 individuals of both sexes flying and resting on willow blossom in the warm sunshine. A pleasant first encounter with this species.

It was quite active, flying around over the blossoms. Didn’t see any more so I think they have only just come out. I had to wait a short while before seeing the moth so if anyone does go out looking it is worth waiting a while around flowering bushes as they don’t fly all the time. Binoculars are essential as well!
