I also had my most prolific night of the year so. Trapped on the marshes alongside the River Waveney for about 3 hours in near perfect conditions. With a couple of micros still to be ID’d the count will be 91 species and at least 350 moths. Nothing outstanding, but at least 16 new ones for the year inc. Round Winged Muslin, Drinker, Grey Pug, Privet H-moth, Miller,Latticed Heath, Sandy Carpet, Small Angle Shades and micros inc. D. forficella, T. viridana, E. bilunana, P. lancealis and one I’ve not seen before, Teliodes luculella. Also 3 Flame Wainscot which is a new one for the site.

A nice site to start the evening off was to watch good numbers of male Ghost Moths performing their dancing flight just above the marsh grass as dusk descended. A wonderful sight!
